'Hepatitis C From Research to Cure'

Hepatitis Scotland are holding an event with the Cenre of Virus Research at Glasgow University on Thursday the 23rd of June, where you'll have an opportunity to meet and talk to some of the world leaders in Hepatitis C research from around the world.

Two half-day sessions will be run on Thursday 23 June 2016 and limited places for around 20 delegates per session will be available.

Hepatitis Scotland say that all travel costs will be covered and a buffet lunch will be provided for everyone, in-between the morning and afternoon sessions.

The morning session runs from 10:00am to 12:30pm
The afternoon session runs from 1:30pm to 4:00pm

The morning and afternoon sessions are the same, so people will attend either the morning or the afternoon session.

The sessions consist of:

Welcome and setting the scene for the day
Tours of the world class research facilities
Q&A sessions with the scientists
Posters, discussions and workshops covering:
What is a virus/Hepatitis C virus
Breakthroughs in treatment
Vaccination development
Resistance to treatment
Mapping the spread of Hepatitis C in populations
