The Langstaff Inquiry into Contaminated Blood launched its consultation into its terms of reference yesterday via its newly published website, www.infectedbloodinquiry.org.uk/.
The terms of reference consultation will last until 26th April and can be accessed via an online platform from the inquiry website or from a consultation document downloadable from the website in pdf format.
SIBF and Haemophilia Scotland will continue to work jointly, and together with independent campaigners, to make a formal consultation response on behalf of our members. We intend to hold a joint members meeting soon to look at the many issues involved and to provide our members throughout Scotland with an informed discussion and debate about the terms of reference consultation. We will post the meeting details as soon as these have been agreed. In the meantime, our joint Scottish Position Paper issued in October last year may remind members of the key issues we have already highlighted. You may prefer to hold off responding to the consultation until after the joint meeting takes place and the note of the meeting is communicated to members if you cannot attend personally.
