The Scottish Infected Blood Forum and Haemophilia Scotland are holding a joint meeting for members of both organisations to discuss a range of issues related to the contaminated blood campaign in Scotland and our common interests associated with it.
The meeting will start at 11am at the Mercure Glasgow City Hotel on Sat 8th April. It was originally planned for a 10am start but has been moved to 11am to accommodate peoples’ travel plans.
Discussions will focus on the new Scottish Infected Blood Support Scheme and the establishment of a new Clinical Review Group in Scotland. The Clinical Review Group will look in detail at the overall health impact of Hep C on people, not just liver-based impacts. This is seen by many as a way to acknowledge, and financially support in some way, the impacts sufferred by those classed as Skipton Stage 1, or as the Scottish Government class it, the ‘chronically’ infected.
Members are free to raise any other issues of concern to them also.
Tea, coffee, and sandwiches will be provided for those attending.
The Mercure Hotel address is:
201 Ingram Street
