As a result of having this particular focus, the letter may seem longer than expected or as is usually necessary. Nevertheless, it has been prepared for use as a template for anyone to adopt and adapt to suit their own situation.

This template can be used for raising other concerning issues (e.g. calling for improved palliative care, or seeking access to bespoke psychosocial support). Further, it can be adjusted for different types of elected members (e.g. your MSP in Scotland, MS in Wales, or MLS in Northern Ireland, where health is a devolved matter; or even a local councillor).

If you would like to send something to your Member of Parliament or other elected person, you are invited to copy and paste the text as the basis for your own personalised letter, while remembering to make any adjustments in content. Further guidance notes and suggestions are attached for those who might find these useful.
